- Initiator and organizer of the Eyes Tea Boston
- Guest editor (jointly with Dr. Katharina Seifert) of the special issue "Eye and Gaze Movement Registration in Human-Machine Interaction" of MMI interaktiv
- Co-founder and co-editor of MMI Interaktiv, an electronic journal dedicated to human-machine interaction research
- Project coordinator for forum arbeitsschutz, an interdisciplinary research group funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) that examined the impact of occupational safety and health research between 1980 to 1998 and formulated the demands for futur research.
- Project coordinator for Integral, a web-based system to support the education in ergonomics. In addition, I helped to start the follow-up project Integral II.
- Initiator and organizer of the Eyes Tea Berlin
- Founding member of the Center for Human-Machine Systems, Technical University Berlin, Berlin, Germany
